Today for the summer learning journey I did a vase of flowers and I used these colors because they are very neutral and warm.

Moon feels like a cold breeze.

Her breath is a clean but windy smell, if you meet her you would Think she would be able to blow out every candle in the world!

Has a voice of a public speaker and says “I love you.”

The Bus

We read "The Town" from James K Baxter and we used the framework

The bus was usual enough; it had screeching Doors, windows covered in moss, old but Comfy seats, spider webs and stairs. Dad, Diego and I did what Familys do- discovered Bugs, played teachers, read for hours and Pretended to drive.

Planting day!

 Planting day!

Today we took our massive bean’s to Rawhiti school garden. We had them in biodegradable cups. We planted them under this teepee looking thing. When we planted them it was a sad and proud feeling! The reason we planted them under the teepee is because it would help them taller and straighter. We have been waiting for about a month germinating the seeds and now they are super all. But I wonder how tall they will grow?

Beans!

 

I wandered into Tāne Mahuta chatting to my friends and something felt different. At first I didn’t notice,

Day 1.

I didn’t notice the desks, the desks were covered in our beans! Well not beans, our plants! It was only the desks Phew!

Day 2.

Day 2. Today I noticed that the teachers were missing and then I remembered the beans! I heard the teachers screaming but the trees were shutting their mouth! Soon after I heard Eugene skream “I’M BUSTING FOR THE LOO!” So  we all laughed! Soon after we all got sizers and cut them out it was fun whilst it lasted! 

Day 3.

Day 3. Today we all had to do our work outside! We all got our chromebooks and it was not much work. They said we can all play learning games but I didn't!  

Day 4.

Day 4. Today we had to go into Ata hapara because that was the only safe option. It was only a bit squishy but I can’t complain. 

Day 5.

Day 5. Today the whole class was full with our bean vines and the vines were in Ata hapara and it was raining so we did our work under the varanda.

Day 6. 

Day 6. Today the rain cleared up and we did our work on the court because we had many complaints about our beans going into the hall and the library. 

Day 7.

Day 7. Today the whole school has been covered with our beans because we had a teachers only day. Now we are working from home.

Day 8.

Day 8. Today we are still learning from home but I need to go to school because my mum and dad are working.

Day 9.

Day 9. Today we started to cut the vines and we did not do much learning.

Day 10.

Day 10. Today we finished cutting up. This  was a crazy experience! 

CRT With Caroline.

Today we did CRT with Caroline and we did “Still Life drawing.”  Still life drawing is 3D drawing. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard! First we did a cylinder mine was a bit wonky. Next we did an apple then a jug and last we did a bowl/ cup.

hardness and‌ ‌blackness‌ ‌To‌ ‌be‌ ‌honest‌ ‌I‌ ‌did‌ ‌not‌ ‌like‌ ‌the‌ ‌art‌ ‌we‌ ‌did.‌ ‌It‌ ‌was‌ ‌

a‌ ‌bit‌ ‌hard‌ ‌and‌ ‌boring!‌ ‌The‌ ‌artist‌ ‌was‌ ‌obviously‌ ‌very‌ ‌

professional and he knows how to draw! But I think it was fine

Seed Dissection

Seed Dissection

The seeds we dissected were pine nuts, corn seeds, lima beans, pinto beans and chickpeas. My favorite seed to dissect was the pinto beans and lima beans. I did this all with Ruby but before we dissected the seed we had to soak them  overnight. After they were ready we got

to take apart the seed. We had to make the seeds into 3 parts Seed coat, Food supply and the Embryo.  The thing I found most interesting was finding the baby plant (embryo) and seeing how it has been growing in the water without the soil.

Hello I’m Jazzy and I have a crazy mind!  People say It is hard to talk to me and recommend for me to write before bed time. 

Day 2 of my diary

Today I was able to do the garden work because I wrote last night,

  In The Garden I  tamed The Weeds And Planted Seeds. Soon The Seeds Will become flowers and will thrive!

Day 3 of my diary

Today was a school day and I made new friends, one named Charlotte and the other called Charlie. And we did an exam tomorrow I will get the results. Day 4 of my diary 

Today I got the exam results , I got 89% or the answers correct! Today we had art class for 2 hours!  Lucky I like art!

28.5.2020 Whitlnesess Once Upon a time there was a bird named Willis. Willis was not other birds, he could not whistle. And you might not think that that was a big deal but Willis was sad that he was not like the other birds. And he felt that everything and everyone knows how to whistle. So he thought “if I’m different I will get something to make me similar to everyone else!” At that point he found the traffic man was arguing with a driver about almost crashing! “Watch where you're going man” the traffic man said “well sorry” said the driver. So Willis swooped down and pinched the traffic man’s whistle! “HEY” yeled the traffic man “sorry!” chirped Willis! So Willis went around the city and he went to the other birds showing off his new whistle. But then when he went off to give the traffic man his whistle back he looked at the mess that he made. From just playing around with the whistle to making everyone crash! So he dropped the whistle down to the traffic man “about time” said the traffic man! And then the traffic man got everyone back on the track. But even though Willis was happy to give the traffic man his whistle back, he could not whistle by himself. So he flew up grabbing a big gulp of air and then he blew it all out! Soon after that he realised that he was WHISTLING!! So then he was happy that he was like the other birds!! The end.

My story about lockdown!

What I will tell my family about the lockdown.

When I was younger… about 8 to 9 years old, something happened and this thing was nothing like what you would see every day. We had a worldwide virus, the virus was named the coronavirus and it was nicknamed covid-19. This virus was not the worst disease that we have had. But it made people scared to go outside it made people afraid to hug their friends and it made some people sick. So the presidents and prime ministers told there people that they should stay inside, to lock that virus out the door and spend more time with their family. And text or call their friends, to stay in touch to make their friendship never end! But in this time you could stay at home, play on your phone and dont make me start with the board games but now the shops are open and you can go to school but remember the rules to wash your hands for 20 seconds and to socially distance!

How a frog grows.

13.3.2020. How a Frog Grows. Did you know a frog starts as an egg. The egg grows bigger. The tadpoles hatch with small tails. The tail gets bigger, it grows four legs. The legs get four toes. These are the stages. Eggs, tadpole, froglet, adult frog. The froglet still has a tail but the tail gets smaller. Then it is an adult frog, it can go hunting alone and lay eggs.

MMmm I said to myself as I saw the waffle shelf. I yell out to Mum and Diego, CAN WE HAVE THE WAFFLE’S! No response there probably ignoring me again. I also say to myself. Eh I'm gonna put them in any way. Mum paid we got home and put them away. I thought mum put them in the pantry so I wasn't worried about it. I went to bed with the taste of the waffles in my mouth.
In the morning I woke up early just to see no waffles somebody payed for the waffle’s I said out loud.
